Life Finds A Way: A New Era
Chapter1: A topsy turvy day
I am Amethyst as you know, I am about to tell you about a day that started so normal, but took a topsy turvy turn. July 25, 2020. I woke up in my bed, suddenly (for no reason at all) remembering it was still summer break! I threw my fuzzy pink blanket off of me and Goldie (Who had grown so much since she was a puppy) jumped onto me! I told her to get off of me, because today was FINAL CHORE DAY!
Let me explain: For a whole week we do all our chores and on Saturday someone gets to pick whatever BREAKFAST FOOD for breakfast! Because..Once, on the very first chore day, Kylie tried to get us to eat ICE CREAM FOR BREAKFAST! That’s when Mom made the rule for only breakfast foods.
Now back to my story! I wanted to get to the kitchen first to get better time to examine in case me and Kylie tied because we usually do our chores COMPLETELY. As I ran to the kitchen Ms.KYLIE BEAT ME THERE! RRRRR! Thankfully I got there in time and Mom started counting our chores. Suspense grew in my body and I felt like a gust of power was rising up my throat and I was about to vomit . But, but, Kylie won…luckily Kylie and I have similar favorite breakfast foods so she picked scrambled eggs with a crispy hash brown on the side . While Mom was making breakfast we got ready for the day and did each other’s hair. Kylie’s hair was so silky, soft and a beautiful hazelnut brown color. When we were called for breakfast I rushed to the kitchen, as fast as my legs could carry me. I glared at the delicious breakfast perfectly placed with a juicy orange juice glimmering in a glass. Me and Kylie sat down on the bar stools and dug in. While I was eating I felt some stomping. I shrugged it off a few times, thinking it may just be the washing machine or something. When it didn’t stop and continued, I thought it was an earthquake but when me and Kylie looked behind at the living room we screamed! Mom hollered: “GIRLS! CLOSE YOUR MOUTH WHILE SCREAMING!” We swallowed and pointed back at the living room, IT WAS A DINOSAUR!!! Dad just walked into the room and Mom (in a panicky way) pulled us all to my bedroom, which was barely far away from our kitchen. We settled in the room, and my heart beated fast as I shivered under the blanket me and Kylie hid under. Then we heard faint barking outside of my room. It was Goldie! Dad didn’t take a moment to think and ran outside of the room to get Goldie. My mind couldn’t process what was happening, I don’t know how my luck would get any worse. I had barely finished my breakfast and I’ve already seen a DINOSAUR. Could this day get ANY worse!? Goldie snuggled in with us while me and Kylie frantically breathed. Mom closed the door and curtains but luckily light was still shining through the light filled curtains. Mom and Dad sat down in my chairs, deep in thought and definitely in shock. I had butterflies in my tummy. They fluttered until my belly felt sore. Kylie started to sweat so we threw the blanket right off of us and hid ourselves in my pillows. Mom blurted: “How are dinosaurs out in the real world?” I rose from under the pillows and sighed, barely getting the words out of my mouth:“They escaped after Maisie released them.” Those words turned dad’s eyes right to mine. I looked at him, He sighed and just said: “Well, We can’t do much now can we?” I don’t know if dad has powers or something but I think he just woke a T-Rex because, Just then we all felt shaking. I reluctantly went closer to the window…

Hi there reader! I just wanted to let you know that this book is HEAVILY inspired by Jurassic World: Dominion! (I’m basically just putting my own characters and twisting up the story a little, and yes I am a kid) And this book is book number three in this series, which means there are 2 more books before this (Which are also heavily inspired by Jurassic World, and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), which I will launch VERY soon, so please stay tuned for those! I also wanted to let you know that I wrote this book a year before Jurassic World: Dominion was released! So It definitely wasn’t inspired. I’m also a HUGE Jurassic Park/World fan and I highly advise watching the movies in those franchises! To learn more about me please check out the about page of this site. (Oh and disclaimer: The way the dinosaurs look, behave and etc. aren’t supposed to be accurate! So Please keep that in mind!) And also Jurassic: World Dominion is releasing on June 10th 2022 so I haven’t seen it at the moment.
