My hand felt like it was taken over by fear. It was frozen, barely moving. Before my hand could even reach the window’s curtain, a bellowing roar shook the room! Like it was a T-Rex! I fell back and panicked.. I was able to see the big, dark silhouette of the T-Rex. It was fierce and huge. I felt my dad pulling me up and to the door. Mom took a leash from my desk to keep Goldie under control. Because Goldie was barking at the window, and it was definitely not helping. We all carefully moved back closer to the door. My hand shook the door knob and WACK! The door went flying open. Kylie grabbed my hand and ran. I looked back for a split second as the T-Rex shadow got a little bit closer and then stomped away. We rushed into the living room. We ran to the living room window near us and saw horror and fear flood the neighborhood streets.

Then without warning a carnotaurus crashed through the window!! Its huge mouth found Kylie on the back wall. Me and dad ran to go help her and Mom grabbed our emergency bags and the first aid kit. Kylie screamed as the carnotaurs struggled to get in. I pulled her hand and grabbed mom’s and Mom led us to Dad. Dad hollered: “MOVE BACK EVERYONE!” We all jumped back and ran to the door. Dad followed behind carefully, as if he was training the dinosaur or something. Just as we all took a step outside. Kylie froze. We continued walking without looking in front of us, instead looking at Kylie who was barely breathing.

Mom loudly whispered: “COME ON KY!” But Kylie slowly raised her hand and pointed above the car saying: “D-d-d-ino-ss-saur!” We all looked back. It gave us a nasty snarl. I fell, this time scratching my knee and screaming until my lungs could no more. Kylie screamed and tears started to run down from her eyes. Mom grabbed both of us and sheltered us as we made our way near Dad still watching the carnotaurs closely. Dad said: “The cars are going to make a traffic jam because everyone is evacuating because of the dinos, let’s move on three, One, two three! We all ran as fast as we could and ran into the car.”

Mom gasped. “We-we-we made it!” A laugh started to clear her voice. The carnotaurus opened its mighty jaw- but before it could bite the car, SWOOP! The car jerked back and almost broke my back. We drove away to the community center, as that was the safest place. On the way to the community center, I got bored and asked: “Why did you get so many backpacks mom?” Mom replied: “These are our survival bags” Mom smiled. She added: “One of our greatest hopes of surviving.” “Ahhhh” I understood. Out of the blue, the car stopped. “Why are we stopping?” Kylie asked nervously. “Well Ky, there’s some dino fight going on, why don’t you girls look out the window and see for yourself?” Dad looked back and smiled as he finished his sentence.

It actually was a dino fight, so I asked if I could borrow Mom’s phone. (Because her phone has the best video quality.) I opened the window to take a video, and to my surprise I saw them lassoing the dinosaurs! The dinosaurs were so upset! The officers said: “These animals will need to be taken in containment! They’re acting upset and angry!” He said it quite loudly actually. Maybe to tell everyone. I shouted: “Of course they are going to be upset! You’re hurting them!!” The officer replied, looking stern: “Kid! Don’t interfere!” I made a face at them, they just scoffed and looked back at the dinosaurs.
